宗萨仁波切：大乘佛教的名字就表明了它是宏大的，
但是我希望用自己认为到底什么是大乘来作为一个结论。
Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche：Now Mahayana Buddhism,
as the name indicate, is “Grand“.
But I'd like to conclude this by summarizing what I think is Mahayana.
第一，大乘佛法之道，它的成分实际上是智慧和方法。
两个都是必要的，如果有一个缺少了就不是大乘佛法。
顺便说一下，是一个“大”的表述，也是一个非常重要的表述。
有无数的方法，比如像绕佛塔或者供香、或者供花，或者修行布施、
或者持戒，或者成为一个出家人，然后最受欢迎的是打坐，
所有这些都是方法。
First, to make the Mahayana path, the ingredients of Mahayana is actually wisdom and method. Both are necessary. If one is missing, then it is not Mahayana path. And this is a big statement, and a very important statement by the way. There are countless of methods, such as circumambulating stupas, offering incense, offering flowers, practicing generosity, taking a vow, becoming a monk or nun, and one of the most popular thing is meditating.
所有的这些东西如果没有智慧伴随的话，它就变成了另一个教条，
这些都不会把道变成是大乘之道。所有的这些方法都必须伴随着智慧，
当我们说智慧的时候，当然这是一个很宏大的主题，
也是一个很困难的主题。
These are all methods. But these methods alone, without the wisdom, is just another dogma. That is not going to make the path Mahayana. All these methods must be accompanied by the wisdom. And when we talk about wisdom, this is of course a very grand subject, and a difficult subject.
当我说困难的时候，实际上困难点在于它的简单啊，
这太简单了，所以我们的习惯性的大脑不能接受它，
这就是它困难的地方。因为它很困难，
所以有很多很多的教授是在阐释佛陀的智慧。
But when I say difficult, the difficulty is simplicity. It is too simple our habit of mind can't accept it. That's why it is difficult. But because it is difficult, there are so many many teachings that illustrates the widom of the Buddha .
